I'm not sure about a bridge to help folks move from C++ (eg) to LC, but my favorite reference to get folks to take LC seriously is this site:

An article entitled "NASA uses Revolution at Mission Control for Landsat 7 Satellite"
When people hear that one of the NASA mapping satellite groups uses LC exclusively for all mission control processes, they sit up and take notice.
