datagrid table: NOT sorting by column?

I had this very same issue in a project a few months back. The only way out of it was that I placed this in the group script:



on SortByColumn
end SortByColumn

Hi friends,

I can UN-check "Sort by column..." for some columns in the inspector
until my wrist gets numb, but still can happily click the headers and 
these columns get sorted?

Is this a bug or am I missing something obvious?
