Can iOS store info in stacks?

Yes. But I don't think Dixie's idea is very practical - you as the developer can do what he suggests, and your users can add files to the device through iTunes, but that isn't very convenient.  On the other hand if you want to replace it with a stack you download, read this first - it includes an example stack I made that demonstrates a way to do that:
