Something that makes Windows 7 look good

Having "played around" with Windows 7 on a few 'baby-laptops' that 
friends of mine have bought with the crippled version pre-installed 
(what is known as a RAMP) I know what it is about Windows 7 that makes 
Windows XP look good.....
