Duplicate Control IDs

In all of my attempts to get the engine to allow me to use the same ID 
for multiple objects, I've been unsuccessful.

Is there the possibility that what you're seeing is a problem with the 
inspector not updating correctly?

Or some other issue with the means of checking the ID rather than the ID 
itself?
