Datagrid truncateTail

I've been using the truncateTail command of the datagrid library and it has
been working ine but just came across a situation where it doesn't seem to
work.

If I resize a column to be narrower than the text, it works fine but if I
then resize it back so it's wide enough to hold the original contents, it
still shows the truncated text.  Anyone else come across this?
