LiveCode and R

I've worked with my son to transcode some algorithm of mine from Matlab to R, on his MBP. He is is bio-engineering and, according to him, R is used in biology to do statistics.
From what I have seen, R has a very standard syntax, much more "straight" than Livecode's.
