auto-save stacks

Hello,

I know this has been answered a hundred million times already, but for what
ever reason I can find the answer.

How does one ensure that a stack always auto-saves itself every time you
close it?

I tried this in the card script

*on* closeStackRequest

   *save* this stack

*end* closeStackRequest

It does not work
