Mobile devices and barcodes

If you control both ends of the system and it mainly involves mobile
applications, consider using QR
codes<http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=QR+CODE&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8>,
which are designed for that purpose.
