Cents displayed in Windows

What I usually do for this sort of thing in Windows is I use Office, have word insert a special character, I copy it, and then I do chartonum on the clipboard. It's been a long time since I had to do this though, so things may have changed. The last time I did this I developed in Foxpro! ICK!
