Cents displayed in Windows

I am making an app that will run on the Mac and Windows. One of my edit fields will display a value in cents (34¢). I am using a Mac to create my app. I used Option + 4 on the Mac to create the ¢ symbol. Here is my question:  Will windows apps display correctly a label or edit field that has a cent symbol in it that was created on a Mac?
