The 3G one does , the wi-fi one doesn't, but that's rarely an issue. If i was stuck in the wilderness needing to use satellites to find my way, I could use my iPhone, and probably wouldn't have my iPad with me anyway.

HDMI out is optional on iPad, and even though I have that option I've only tried it out once. I have used VGA out more.
