animated gif bug?

Can someone duplicate this and see if it's just me or a bug?

- import an animated gif into your stack
- ensure that it does animate just fine in the stack

- create a simple group
- edit the group
- import the animated gif into the group
- ensure that it does animate _while editing the group_
- stop editing the group
- confirm that the gif stops animating :-(
