How exactly does runrev for ipad/iphone work?

Wow.

So the only way for a potential customer to find out if the runrev mobile solution is likely to pass muster with Apple's new policy (to make an informed purchasing decision), is to purchase the program (and find out later)?  I question both the legality of that policy and the obvious and expected negative public relations and marketing outfall.

And you guys are complaining about Steve Jobs' autocratic and anti-consumer openness?
