Getting a public IP address when connected to a router

All the solutions given do work
-- but think they will give a wrong one if they are NOT called locally
i.e. in .irev file:
you got the server IP (Texas) ;-)

So, my question is: is it possible to get MY IP from within a .irev
file, which runs on a distant server?
