Behaving badly with backgrounds

Luckily enough, in my case, its really just a couple of groups; one 
consisting of half-a-dozen buttons,
and the other an image grouped into itself with vertical and horizontal 
scrollbars.

Datagrids give me the "willies", and so far I've managed to avoid having 
anything to do with
them.
