One method is to use the message path,
but the more direct way is to use the long ID of the field

type into the message box with one of the stacks as frontmost

   "put the long id of fld 1"

and the main stack long id ====
field id 1004 of card id 1002 of stack "/Users/jault/Documents/ 
JmaMainStackForTest.rev"

and the substack long id ====
field id 1004 of card id 1002 of stack "subUnder" of stack "/Users/ 
jault/Documents/JmaMainStackForTest.rev"
