revVideoGrabber on Vista and Windows 7

Has anyone had any success using the revVideoGrabber  on windows 7? When I try to initialize an instance of it I only get a white screen where my webcam image should be. The stack works ok on xp, and I don't have vista to try it. I know that Video For windows is pretty much obsolete nowadays but is there any plan to use directshow instead of VFW in the future?
