App on Linux - really slow... any ideas why?

I just tried the Slitaz distro on my MacBook Pro. looks really good
.. but ... <blush> I can't get it to eject the CD image. Holding down the C
key does not work.... HELP

this is the first Linux distro I've tried in years...
