Yes, there will be many advantages when Linux takes over the universe of 
computing.  With a single OS, software designers will never need to 
worry about forked code.

But in the meantime there are some useful features found only one some 
platforms, like OS X's Apple events and Window's Registry, and I'm 
grateful Rev provides access to them.
