You're welcome. You see Jan's response does basically the same thing; 
another level of evaluation sets complex things right, and can be invoked is 
several ways.

BUT AS SOON AS I SENT MY RESPONSE, I realized I could have written:

put "*" into tOperator
do "put 6" && tOperator && "9"

you get 42
