I suspect that the 'go home' form is there to stay compliant with HC  
syntax only.

What about a setProp handler that would be triggered in your stack  
when building your standalone: it would 'report' the same value in  
another custom property that would not suppressed in the standalone.
Elegant and easy and not too much harder ;-)
