SQLite & repeated fields

Distressingly many years ago I was sitting in a classroom while an instructor
with a smug expression wrote on a whiteboard words to the effect of:

If you are keying in the same data more than once, you need another table.

If you think you need repeating fields, you need another table.

If you can't delete data you don't want without having to delete other data
you do want, you need another table.

There was a bunch of other stuff too, but it all ended with 'you need
another table'.....  It was very irritating, but it did stick in the memory!
