Hello, and big welcome. This is the best place you could have found for
Rev help. Oh, and you can call us just about anything you want, we're
easy. :)

I'll just hit a couple of your questions:

Go the download route. The only thing you get in the boxed version that
isn't in the download is...the box. It's a very nice box though.

Most use the electronic. The printed version is the identical, only
paper. If you are the type who likes a book open in front of you while
you work, the printed docs are great. Otherwise the built-in electronic
ones are fine, and have the added advantage of being searchable.

All of the above. Then, work through these in order:

http://support.runrev.com/scriptingconferences/

These are a set of tutorials designed specifically for the beginning
Revolutionary, and they work through all the concepts from ground zero
on up. They were originally presented by many of the pros here during
live online sessions a couple of years ago. You can read transcripts of
the online sessions at the back of each stack. They were designed as
primers.

So glad to see you here, and don't be afraid to ask even the most
elementary questions. You'll get tons of answers, this is a fantastic group.

By the way (the rest of you) I have mirrored the scripting conferences
at my site, with RR's permission. There are identical copies there
(which are also linked from my Resources page so you can find them again
later):

Or the easy link to everything (conferences link at the upper left):
