some trouble with convert

well, probably not a bug, I just dont really understand it. (the bug is in

Anyways, Sarah's solution seems the way to go. No trouble with time
intervals of more than 24 hours etc.

Just as an exercise I tried this:
--------------
   put the date into tDate
   convert tDate to dateItems
   add 1754 to item 6 of tDate
   convert tDate to long system time
   put tDate 
------------

as long as the seconds are less than 24 hours worth it works giving 00:29:14
(german system) and this is what one would expect. Reassuring.
