Rev Standalone and Encryption

Hello,

I have two questions about the Rev Standalone Builder "Encrypt with Password"
feature.

1. How does the password come into play? After activating this feature, the
completed standalone doesn't ask for a password. What is the purpose of the
password, and is there any reason to keep a record of it?

2. Does the encryption slow down the application at all--or does it totally
decrypt on opening?
