negative numbers in menus. Possible or not?

I think that you could post this request in QA and on the improve  
list also to give it more resonance at Runrev:
At first sight, it seems easy to modify the engine code to take into  
account '-' as parenthesis (and other chars) are taken into account yet.
Just a char to add to the list...
