Database vs Array (was: Filtering array vs plain list)

Thanks to all who answered my questions about arrays vs databases.  I 
reached a juncture where I had to make a decision about how to format 
this particular set of data before I could continue coding.

I made a few adjustments and I think the end result will be easy to 
access and speedy.
