Zlib decompression - Any ideas?

Hey all... I may be getting some files sent to me that were compressed using
the public zlib library.

My understanding is that the compress() and decompress() functions are built
as wrappers around the zlib library, but may require certain headers or
length bytes or something that these raw zlib-compressed files may not have.

Any ideas on how I can decompress these files with Rev?
