AW: no mousedown and no selectionChanged with unlocked fields? new!

Hmm, I found my problem.
If the unlocked field's text is empty I don't get a selectionChanged
message. Only if there is at least 1 char in the field.
Is this feature wanted or a bug? And if it's wanted, how do I get a click in
an empty field? (Win XP, Rev 2.9)
