libURL download failing to notice network loss...

Hello Friends,

I am doing a simple test. Use libURL to download a simple file using load. I
use load to put the file in the cache. During the transfer, I switch off the
network hoping that after some interval, libURL will notice that she is
alone in the world and trigger a timeout or an error in my callback message
but that never happens. The code just sits there, like nothing is happening.

Any insights?
