Getting around the 2 gig limit

I'm not sure, I guess you'd have to try it. If it doesn't work as-is, 
try seeking in 2-gig chunks to move the pointer forward in increments 
until you get close to the place you need to read. Or use the 
work-around you've already made until 2.9 comes out.
