I turned it off earlier when I started monitoring.

On the one hand, Interarchy's logs show some of the accesses to be 
through this domain:

au.download.windowsupdate.com

But why would Microsoft attempt to update after I've told it not to?
And how did that domain wind up with an IP assigned to an entity in Houston?

Mysterious....
