Unexpected quits in 2.8.1

I'm running simulations, where the stack plays a game by itself (no 
interaction from me).  Far as I can tell, every time the built in OS 
screensaver kicks in, the stack unexpectedly quits.

I turned the screensaver off, and so far, no quits.

Running 2.8.1 on a Macintel 10.4.7.

Has anyone experienced this?  I'm not sure whether to Bugzilla it or not.
