move a palette stack along with another stack

Does anyone know if it's possible to do this in real time? I know  
about the moveStack message, which I can successfully use to "snap"  
the palette stack into place (because the message is not sent until  
after the move is done), but I'd like it better if the palette  
actually moved right along with the window I'm dragging. Is it  
possible without rolling my own title bar, etc.?
