Yes to both.
Adept is the gui package manager (front end to apt-get) and is a main
reason I love my Kubuntu system. It makes installing packages as easy
as OSX's Software Update, and handles all the dependencies behind the
scenes. Of course, that's also why I'm not sure how the GTK libraries
got onto my system - some other package had them as a dependency.
Eclipse is my guess.
And the Linspire partnership is moving both companies forward.
Linspire just put out their timetable yesterday - you should see CNR
rolling out in the next couple of months. And both Freespire and
Linspire are now being built on a Ubuntu base.
