here's a little script for your button

on mouseup theMouseParam
  if theMouseParam is 1 then
    answer "You clicked the left button"
  else
    exit mouseup
  end if
end mouseup

As for the task manager, no, you can't make an app invisible. You can hide 
it from the taskbar by
setting the stack's decorations to empty only...
