In my case it was lots of trial and error to see how the engine
behaved when relayering controls in groups. I just created a test
stack and started experimenting. I needed to figure it out so I could
represent custom objects using nested groups and reorder records that
were displayed in groups that were scrolled using a parent group.
The fact that a Rev group uses a range of layers (indexes) to
determine which controls are contained within it is what makes things
difficult. In Revolution you can't say "make this control the third
control in group "A". You have to adjust the layer of the control as
well as other controls already in the group. If groups were true
nested objects that knew something about their immediate children
things would be different.
