I have friends in the wonderful town of Darwin in the Pannamint
mountains above Death Valley. One of 'em went into Bakersfield to the
hospital to get a checkup. The conversation went something like this:

"Where do you live?"
"In Darwin?"
"How many people live there?"
"About 50"
"How do you stand it?"
"Oh... we're usually not all there at the same time..."
