Trapping Command-q

You could trap the shutdownRequest message in the script of the  
mainstack:

on shutdownRequest

end shutdownRequest

where you could either ask if the user really wants to shutdown, put  
some condional stuff, or just leave the handler empty so they can  
never quit...
