To further this thread just a bit, I posted a demo stack that shows several 
techniques for colorizing pixels in images (the routines are all based on 
the same underlying principle). Included is a neat little noise-generating 
script (thanks Brian Yennie and Sarah Reichelt). 
 
Execute the following in your Rev message box:
