Dear Windows XP (and possibly Windows 2000) Users,

A new pack for download exists at

http://www.howsoft.com/downloads/runrev

See the (non-)release notes (__test_pack_3_notes.txt and also below).
Does your computer have a floppy drive?

Thanks again for your help in testing these widgets!
DO let me know what the results are.

All the best,
Bob

Windows XP only***

File chooser #0.119
Picture chooser #0.43

Test Pack 3 is for testing, but not for distribution.

PLEASE READ THE README TEXT CAREFULLY FOR TEST INSTRUCTIONS!

1. Some users have experienced problems in initializing the widgets. One
problem was that the the programs did not take into account the possible
non-existence of Drive A:\ (floppy). Hopefully, this has been solved.
Also, the combination of parameters "bold" and "italic" did not work,
and this has also been corrected. However, at this stage there may well
be other problems involved with program initialization on some machines.
If you have such a problem, please communicate with the author (Bob
Warren) at robertum at brturbo.com.

2. All "flashing" effects (e.g. occurring when showing a preview
picture) have now been removed.

3. The operator can now re-size the widgets, which has the effect of
augmenting/diminishing the size of the left and right panes. However,
the central division between these panes is still fixed.

4. When the operator clicks on the left pane (folders), the
previously-shown preview picture is now removed.

5. The widgets now respond only to the mouse. No keys typed should have
any effect whatsoever.

*** The widgets should also run in Windows 2000.
However, no matter what the Windows settings, the Windows folder
(usually C:\WINNT) remains hidden. This is probably a RunRev issue.
