Mac OS 10.2.x system config files

I need to know where OS X version 10.2.x stores its system config file. 
In 10.3 and 10.4 it is here:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

Apparently this isn't the case in 10.2 and I don't have an older system 
to check it. In particular, I'm looking for the MAC address. Does anyone 
have 10.2 who can tell me which file contains this info?
