I know how much work and time goes into planning and implementing
these kinds of events. I've not attended their event but my I'd like to
send out a few words of appreciation to Chipp & Dan for all they have
done to promote Rev and just as important, at least in my mind, the
promote a real community of Rev developers. Thanks.

Profit? Anyone who decides to hold such an event to make even small
sums of money needs to seek professional help. My partner Cloe and I
used a lots of tricks to make sure we didn't lose our shirts. Even though
we used experience to keep costs down, we met just about everyone
at the airport and personally helped them get to the hotel, booked rooms
and conference space over a year in advance, haggled over lunch costs
with the hotel, and more things than you can begin to imagine to
keep costs low but provide a quality experience for the attendees.

Arranging a Rev conference is not for amateurs.

We did it because of the people, mostly. Meeting and then becoming friends
with people who attended the conference was huge part our motivation.
Financial return is definitely not part of the equation. It's all about
the people...there are some wonderful, interesting, talented people
that use Rev.

It's about the people.
