I've implemented an SHA1 digest function in transcript.
For those interested, it's reasonably quick on very small inputs, and  
dog - slow on big ones. I also doubt that it works right on an intel  
machine - I only have motorola macs, here. But it was an interesting  
challenge, and could be useful for some purposes.
