Also known  and the spinner or as I call it 'chasing flower petals', a 
version of the OSX  async progress indicator as an animated gif is now available in 
the xtalk  section above. It is based on the original tiff files, but 
presented as a single  file. Suitable for light backgrounds as it is not anti-aliased.
