Nonetheless, I believe Joe's original line *is* correct HC syntax:

sort [ascending | descending][text | numeric | international |
dateTime] by <field or expression>

so the distinction is that Rev's more powerful sort command just
doesn't backwardly support the simplified HC syntax.
