the most weird of the errors ever... (almost like a cold boot)

In theory, at least, that can't happen. In practice, it obviously  
did! I've had four black-screen-of-death crashes in the past 2+ weeks  
on my PBG4 with 10.4.2. I can't isolate them.

Maybe there's something in the air.
