Manipulate Stacks with Duplicate Names?

Is there any way to distinguish between newly created (unsaved) stacks that
have the same name?

Yes, I know it's not "kosher" to be editing stacks at the same time that
have the same name, but if the situation were to arise, is there some way to
reference/work with the stacks independently of each other?
