Identifying objects by their tooltips - custom props

Well, there are 3 possible answers to why I don't use
custom props:

1. I have never bothered to learn how to use Custom props.

2. Tooltips seems rather straightforward.

3. I specialise in beeing bloody-minded.

Needless to say, in my case, all 3 are partly true!
